This Privacy Policy explains how GEEKY EXPERTS LTD (“GEEKY EXPERTS”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit www.geekyexperts.com (the “Website”), contact us, or make a payment through the Website. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This policy covers the Website only. Data that customers store in the NO-LEAK AIM platform is governed by the customer’s subscription agreement and our Service Level Agreement, under which we act as a data processor on the customer’s behalf.

4. Cookies and analytics

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies — needed for the Website to work, for example to remember your language choice, keep a payment basket, and protect forms from spam.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics, Jetpack Stats and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the Website. Microsoft Clarity may record anonymised interactions such as clicks and scrolling; it is configured not to capture text you type into forms.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Website, such as payments, from working.

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the Website and our business, under contracts that require them to protect it:

We may also disclose personal data where required by law, to a regulator or court, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Nigeria, including in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on safeguards recognised under the NDPA and the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries and demo requests: up to 3 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer.
  • Payment and accounting records: as long as required by tax and company law (typically 6 years).
  • Analytics data: according to the retention settings of each analytics provider (no longer than 26 months).
  • Security logs: up to 12 months.

8. How we protect your data

The Website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, access to the Website’s administration is restricted and protected against repeated login attempts, and we keep our software up to date. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.

  • have your data deleted, or its use restricted;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email contactus@geekyexperts.com with “Privacy” in the subject line. We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or, if you are in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.

10. Third-party websites

The Website links to other websites, including our free Integrity & Corrosion Analysis Platform, the NO-LEAK AIM customer login, and LinkedIn. Those services have their own terms and privacy notices, which apply when you use them.
